Georges Remi, better known as Hergé, was born on May 22, 1907, in Belgium. He passed away 35 years ago on March 3, 1983.

The father of characters like Tintin, Captain Haddock, Snowy, Scotland Yard detectives Thompson and Thomson (Dupond and Dupont in the original French versions), Professor Calculus and Bianca Castafiore, his work was a marvel in its time and made its mark on later generations, too.

Known for his attention to detail, Hergé was largely inspired by real car models in his comics. In memory of his legacy, here are some twenty examples that may bring back some memories.
