Jaguar teased its newest SUV this week, the E-PACE, an all-wheel-drive more-compact truck designed to slot in below the F-PACE and take on rivals like the Porsche Macan.

The E-PACE will make its full debut July 13 and go into production in early 2018; for now we’ll have to make do with these two teaser images the British automaker’s released.

The starting price of the E-PACE will be $42,700 CDN, not far below the base MSRP of its F-PACE bigger brother, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t expect it to move out of dealer lots in droves.

Specs are unknown, though the E-PACE will not be offered with an electric drivetrain – you’ll have to wait for the upcoming I-PACE for that – and will, Jaguar says, instead be fitted with its Ingenium line of engines.
