Austrian automotive startup Kreisel has launched its first car, the Evex 910e, a classic Porsche 910 replica car packed with modern electric vehicle tech.

Kreisel has powered its 910e with an electric motor capable of sending 490 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque to the sports car’s rear wheels via a two-speed transmission.

The combination of the 910e’s lightweight design and power enables it to rocket from naught to 100 km/h in only 2.5 seconds, going on to a top speed in excess of 300 km/h.

Kreisel claims that, thanks to a 53-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery on board, the 910e is capable of driving 350 kilometers before needing a recharge, if driven conservatively.

Kriesel’s Porsche 910 replica frame is sourced from German automotive firm Evex.

Thanks to its advanced EV technology, this modern interpretation of a classic endurance racer is actually faster than the original Porsche 910 race car it resembles.
