Automobili Lamborghini Canada delivered a Centenario roadster – one of only 40 Centenarios to be delivered worldwide, and one of 20 roadster versions of the car – to a well-heeled Canadian car enthusiast July 6 in Toronto.

The vehicle was sold by Lamborghini Uptown Toronto for a price tag north of $2.5 million CDN.

The sold-out supercar was designed by Lamborghini to celebrate company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s creation of the brand 54 years ago.

Lamborghini’s bestowed the Centenario with its most potent production engine—a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 which produces 770 horsepower at full song.

This powerplant is capable of launching the mid-engine supercar to 100 km/h in only 2.9 seconds, and thanks to its relatively low curb weight of 1,570 kilograms and advanced aerodynamics, the Centenario is capable of some super-quick lap times around race circuits.

The car’s body is constructed almost entirely of carbon fibre, and features other light-weight materials in its construction, including aluminum and magnesium.

Borrowing a page from other sports cars including Porsche’s 911 GT3, the Centenario is equipped with all-wheel steering to enhance high-speed stability while improving low-speed maneuverability.

While the identity of the Canadian Centenario owner is not public knowledge, we genuinely hope they stretch their Lambo’s legs on Canadian roads and racetracks, giving Canadian car enthusiasts an opportunity to behold one of the world’s most exotic, exclusive cars.
