Cadillac announced its new subscription service, BOOK, January 5, for customers who want to swap between different Cadillac vehicles instead of buying one outright.
For $1,500 US per month, BOOK subscribers can use the BOOK app to BOOK any Platinum-trim car in the company’s range, from a CT6 to an ATS-V to an Escalade. A concierge delivers you the vehicle and takes it away when you want to switch to something else. Maintenance, insurance and detailing are included in the price.
“Members can just as easily take to the winding roads in a performance V Series and enjoy a back-mountain winter ski trip in an Escalade in the same week,” the company wrote in a press release. “Alternatively, they can keep an SUV during the winter months and switch to a performance sedan during the summer.”
There’s no long-term commitment – membership is month-to-month – and no mileage limit either. The one drawback so far? It’s only being rolled out in the New York metropolitan area for now, and there are no plans to bring it to Canada yet.
